"Christ has come to teach His people Himself!"
Ohio Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends Conservative)
“When all my hopes in them [that is, in priests] and in all men were gone, so that I had nothing outwardly to help me, nor could I tell what to do, then, oh, then, I heard a voice which said, ‘There is one, even Christ Jesus, that can speak to thy condition,’ and when I heard it my heart did leap for joy.” Journal of George Fox
Like Fox, we have read about God, and heaven and hell, and Jesus. We have heard sermons and testimonies about these things. But where is the convincing evidence that any of this is true?
When we have lost hope of finding Truth, from the Bible by itself, or from writings about it from those with learned degrees but who lack the anointing of the Holy Spirit, what are we to do?
We are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness – not self righteousness, but a humble purity, goodness, holiness. We have exhausted all scripture with human wisdom without finding it. Then, feeling abandoned by all, we have heard a still small voice, seen a light, tasted a spring of living water which have informed, illuminated, refreshed, and washed our souls. This is Christ, who alone can and does sate that hunger and quench that thirst as He fills us with Himself, His humility, His goodness, His holiness.
Christ Jesus, the Word of God, speaks and works in us, raising up in us that Eternal Life and opening the Truth witnessed in the Holy Scriptures.
We of Ohio Yearly Meeting do not ask you only to believe reports about Christ, but to experience Him. For we have found that True belief follows this experience. It is a belief that cannot be shaken by arguments of the wise.

Clothing changes, but not TRUTH
